Dean's Message

Greetings and welcome, Falcon Nation! I am honored to be able to address our Hickman County community as Middle School Dean. I look forward to building new relationships and strengthening the ones already formed as I work in this new role with our wonderful students, families, teachers, staff, and community. It is my desire to bring together all members of our school community to make HCMS a safe and enjoyable place for students to learn and grow.
I have spent 16 years of my career teaching high school mathematics while being involved in coaching basketball and other youth sports. I have served in many leadership positions and have a wide range of experiences that have allowed me to gain valuable insights into the world of education in hopes of meeting the diverse needs of students, parents, and educators.
At HCMS, we have a strong culture of excellence and achievement as we are committed to working collaboratively with our exceptional staff to provide an enriching learning environment and educational experience for all students. We are committed to meeting the needs of our students, setting and maintaining high expectations for students, and forming positive relationships with our student body.
It is our goal to prepare students for what lies ahead of them. Speaking from all of our HCMS Staff, I can say it is a privilege to be able to educate each child in our building(s). We are looking forward to a safe, engaging, and exciting 2024-2025 school year. Please feel free to reach out if there are ever any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Mr. Eric Blalock
Middle School Dean
